Donna Shirley, 69, of Baytown, Texas, passed away January 15, 2025. She was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey (please do not tell anyone, she always considered herself to be a native Texan) on April 8, 1955, to parents Charlie Thomas and Betty Waldshmidt.
Donna had a distinguished career at Brown and Root, but being a mother was the title she most cherished and aspired to be. Donna enjoyed gardening and was a holiday enthusiast. She always made her family’s Christmas and Halloween magical, with her creativity and resourcefulness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Shirley, parents, Charlie Thomas and Betty Nall, and sister Sheryl Thomas.
She is survived by her children, Cammy [Brent] Moore, Myriam Shirley, Kali [Gabriel] Carrizales, Kerri Daniel [Luis Campos], Blake [Kristen] Shirley and Khristian Shirley. She is survived by her grandchildren, Cooper Moore, Lucas Moore, Anthony Shirley, Korina Carrizales, Oliver Carrizales, Phillip Campos, LaRue Campos, Blake Shirley Jr, Penelope Shirley, Lillian Shirley, Alejandro Shirley and Khristian Shirley Jr. She is survived by her siblings, Kenneth [Sherel] Thomas, Daniel [Paula] Thomas and Charlie Thomas.
