Doris Louise Davis

Doris Caver Davis, 92 of Highlands, Texas went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2017. Doris was born on May 5, 1925 in Houston Texas. She was owner and operator of Davis Beauty Salon for over 50 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist church Highlands and attended Garth Road Baptist. Doris was a remarkable person with a heart of gold. She had a special bond with her granddaughter Heather who she raised. She loved crafting with her sister Ruth and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Caver and Vera Davenport Caver; husband, George F. Davis; Children, Larry Davis and Sherry Isaac; sisters, Ivy Henderson, Inez Cowley, Alvis Faubion, Eleanor McNatt, Nell Sellers, and Helen Jacobs; brothers, Billy Caver, Tommy Caver, and Dale Caver.

Doris is survived by her grandchildren Rodney Patterson Sr and wife Tracie, Clarence C. Bulanek Jr, Crystal Sills and Husband Doug; Shelley Courington, Kimberly Strokos . Kenny Isaac and wife Candice; great grandchildren; Heather Lunsford and husband Trey their Children Jordan Prater, Hailey Bowers and Jackson; Rodney Patterson Jr, George Ryan Patterson, Hunter Patterson, Tommy Ballard Jr, Christopher Ballard and wife Ashley, Aaron Ballard, Shelby Sherrod and Kaitlyn Sherrod, Tyler Sills, Tiffany Sills, Briley Isaac, Braylen Issac and Kinbree Isaac; sister, Ruth Davis. She also has 15 great- great grandchildren; Special friends Betty Saenz and JoAnn Dadds. Doris also had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Patterson Sr., Rodney Patterson Jr. Hunter Patterson, Jordan Prater, Christopher Ballard and Kenny Isaac. Honorary pallbearers are H.L “Pnut” Jacobs.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday December 12, 2017 between 6-8pm at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Tx 77521. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 10 am at Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown.
