Dorothy Dixon Cox

She was born May 5, 1938 in Diboll to her parents, C.F. Dixon and Verna Walker Dixon, had lived in Dayton for the last 23 years and was a homemaker.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Cox, son, Ronald Lynn Cox, Sr., brothers, Hubert, Cecil and Ray Dixon and her parents.

She is survived by a son, Ricky Cox, Sr.; Grandchildren, Ricky Cox, Jr., Ronald Lynn Cox, Jr., Lance Cox and his wife Felicia, Chasity McElhaney and her husband Jesse and Eric Cox; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; brothers, Joe Dixon and his wife Audene of Louisiana and Harold Dixon and his wife Martha of Crosby; sisters, Doris Gwin and her husband Bob and Fay Smith and her husband David all of Baytown, in-laws, Rod and Lou Cox, Linda Cox, Peggy and Richard Knight and Aranna Cox and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2008 at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. David Pryor officiating.

The family will receive friends 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Navarre Funeral Home.
