Doyle Pete Hargrave

Doyle was a member of Second Baptist Baytown Church, Goose Creek Masonic Lodge, and the Baytown Shrine Club. In his early years in his spare time he was a flight instructor, taught guitar lessons and always stayed busy with different projects helping others. He retired from Rohm and Haas and was also formerly part of the Airforce National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, dancing, taking casino trips, traveling with his wife and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elsie Hargrave; wife, Annie Lou Hargrave: sisters, Irene Talbert and Juanita Meyers; brothers, Johnny Brooks and Albert O. Hargrave; granddaughter, Erin Hargrave and great-grandson, Korbin Brown. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Hargrave; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Jake Drews; grandchildren and spouses, Carrie and Cory Istre, Jason and Carrie Brown, Kelly and Bill Baker, Larry and Liz Hargrave and Julie Hargrave; great-grandchildren, Hannah Hargrave, Jonathan Brown, Michael Daniecki, Mackenzie Daniecki, Thomas Istre, Mia Ugalde, Alyssa Brown and Ella Brown.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10:00 am at Navarre Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Brown, Larry Hargrave, II, Jonathan Brown, Bill Baker, Jake Drews and Randy Swafford.

In lieu of usual remembrance, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 6977 Main St., Houston, TX 77030-3701.
