Dr. Franklin McCoy Biles

Dr. Franklin McCoy Biles, LT. COL. USAF, Retired, beloved husband, father, and pastor, was born August 24, 1940 in Fort Pierce, Florida, to John Lindsey and Mattie Lou Jordan Biles. Dr. Biles is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra Kay Schmidt Biles (Sandy), his sons and daughter-in-laws: Daniel Franklin and Mandy Morrison Biles of Corpus Christi, TX; Andrew (Andy) Coy and Kathryn McLean Biles of Channelview, TX.; and Stephen Paul and Jamie Chitwood Biles of Victoria, TX and eight grandchildren: Christopher Biles, Britny Biles, Tyler Biles, Bethany Biles, Jonathan (JD) Biles, Jacob Biles, Benjamin Biles and Grant Biles; and three brothers John L Biles, James E Biles and R Tommy Biles and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betsy Hamilton.

Frank Biles was in the Class of 1958, Dan McCarty High School in Ft. Pierce, FL. His 34 years of military service included US Army National Guard, US Navy, and USAF Reserve Chaplain, LT. COL. for a total 36 years of service. Dr. Biles received his Bachelor of Science from University of Houston in 1968, Masters of Divinity from Southwest Theological Seminary in 1971, and Doctorate in Ministry from Biola Talbot Seminary in 1988. He was a pastor for 49 years, serving 9 churches in Texas, and retired after serving 20 years at Eastside Baptist Church in Baytown, TX.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the funeral home with a graveside service to be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Houston National V. A. Cemetery, 10410 Veteran's Memorial Dr., Houston TX with Rev. Bill Yowell officiating.
