Eleanor Covington, of Baytown, TX, passed away on April 2, 2014. She was born on January 8, 1939 in Marlin, TX, to Couie Neal and Verrine Williams Guest. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1957, attended Lee College, and graduated from North Texas State University in 1960. She married Raymond Dale Covington on August 27, 1960, and was a teacher at Travis Elementary School in Baytown, TX.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Lynn Langford and husband Obie; sons, Jon Raymond and wife Janet Lee Covington, and Alan Neal and wife Joannie Lynn Covington; grandchildren, Rae Lynn Covington, Kristen Hope Covington, William Raymond Covington and Alexis Ann Covington.
She attended Baptist Temple in Baytown where she served as pianist for many years.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
