Elliott Lawrence ""Larry"" Nelson, 59, passed away after a brief illness on August 12, 2012. Larry was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on December 23, 1952 to Charles and Mary Leah Nelson. Larry lived in the Baytown area for thirty years where he raised a family and worked as an owner operator truck driver.
Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He had an easy laugh and a quick wit that was certain to make anyone crack a smile. Larry was a kind soul and a warm heart. He epitomized a strong work ethic, and would do whatever he could to help someone in need. He was married to his wife, Kathy, for nearly thirty years, and together raised two daughters to be smart, strong women. His granddaughter, Hannah Nelson, adored her ""Paw-Paw"" and his silly sense of humor. Larry will be remembered as a kind friend, loving husband, and devoted father and grandfather.
