

Elva Dinora Leon "Negra" 38, of Baytown, Texas passed away on Wedneday, December 30, 2015 at approximately 4:20 p.m. in Houston, Texas as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Elva was born on Thursday, September 15, 1977 at 5:07 a.m. to Mr. Juan and Mrs. Migdalia Leon at just 6 lbs. 6 oz. and 18 inches. She attended Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown. Negra was a loving woman who always had a smile on her face and always thrived to help people. She always laughed at everything even when things weren't funny but that is what made her character. Customers at Burger King of where she worked at for at least 7 years always spoke well about her. Negra loved music and dancing with her son. You would always see her and her children together because she was a kid at heart. Elva, touched so many lives with her smile without her even realizing it. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Lorenzo Leon and grandmother Guadalupe Flores; maternal grandfather Rosendo Cantu and grandmother Narcisa Gonzalez. She is survived by her 4 children; Gerardo Diaz (18), Rosaisela Diaz (17), Galilea Diaz (15), and Esther Diaz (12); husband, Rogelio Sanchez; 6 siblings, Hilda Cuevas, Nancy Madriz, Juan DeLeon, Peggy Chavez, Migdalia Chavez, and Vanessa Vargas. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial following at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery.
