

Faye Elenora Walleck-Westphal, 94, passed away on March 5, 2026. She was born on March 23, 1931, and was a resident of Baytown, Texas. Adventurous, brave, devoted, hard-working, and humorous, Faye will be remembered for the steady way she showed up for her family and the spirited way she embraced life’s many seasons.
Faye moved to Bay City in 1945 and graduated from Bay City High School with the class of 1949. She later attended secretarial school in Houston and worked at Westinghouse.
Faye retired from the Seattle School District in 1998. In 1999, she moved to Sun City, Arizona, and in 2022 she moved back to Texas to be close to family.
Faye was preceded in death by her father Vigil and mother Lillian Laxson Walleck, brother Arthur, sister Koleta Walleck Shepard, son Fred Westphal, brother in law David Sanders, and son in law Grant Fleming. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Walleck Sanders; brothers Valline and Donna Walleck, LeRoy Walleck, Joe and Cindy Walleck, and Gary and Lyly Walleck; son Robert and Emma Westphal; daughter Elizabeth Westphal Fleming; grand daughter Fiona Westphal; grandsons Austin (Jillian), Taylor, and Garrett Westphal; Caidan Fleming; and Vincent Westphal.
Faye enjoyed photography, genealogy, attending family reunions, and traveling throughout Europe, Israel, many U.S. states, and Hawaii. She also enjoyed playing bingo, painting, making jewelry, and cooking.
In Sun City, Faye was active in the Lutheran Church and volunteered at the Lutheran Thrift store for over 30 plus years in retirement.

A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on Thursday March 12, 2026 at 2PM in Van Vleck, Texas. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Diabetes Association.
