Dear Joyce,Dianne,and Denise,
My sister called me today and informed me that Forrest had passed away. I knew his health had been failing but still is a great shock. I reflect back on the good times we had at the Purvis home on Main St.,Lee High School and after our marriages. We lost track of each other as our lives took separate paths but thought of him often and missed him very much. Our prayers go out to all of you in your time of sorrow. He was a true friend. Forrest was a true treasure and will be sorely missed. He was a dear friend of my Mom, Kathy Oliver, and to this day I'm not able to look at a pink tutu or hear the song ""Little Red Riding Hood"" without thinking fondly of Forrest. As we all will grieve for him be comforted that those who have gone before him are anxiously awaiting to welcome their humorous and treasured friend.

Sorry to hear about Forrest. I remember him well from High School(Good Guy). My prayers are with his family.

I grew up with forrest and was in a lot of classes with him in high school. We were friends all of our lifes, Forrest was a true friend and i will miss him. My grandmother lived next door to the purvis family and since i was their alot forrest and i became best friends. After we both got married we still ran around with
each other until we kind of lost track of each other. Forrest you will always be a best friend to me and a pelly rat as we were know back in those days,God has called you home as he will all of us , until we met again rest in peace ny friend.

I remember Forrest from growing up here and his dad, Fox Hunter, would often lead the trail rides.  Forrest was always such a kick on those.  I believe he even strummed on a guitar around the campfire on the overnights.  He was certainly a character and will not be forgotten.  Condolences from my family to yours.

I am sorry for your loss. Just know that God is with during this time, and that this to shall pass. My sister and I were childhood friends of Denise and Dianne and just wanted the family to know that ya'll are in our prayers.

He was great.  Friendly, fun, cheerful, ornery, enjoyable to be around. Always hear of the stories about him and the way he affects people.

Forest was a wonderful man, wish we had done more things together, as friends, knew him in high school, remotely, and performed engineering/surveying services for him in the last ten or so years. I definitely was a pleasure knowing him and he will be missed..

Forrest was extraordinary pipefitter with a strong sense of humor and a dependable nature.  He liked to pick on the apprentices and rookie engineers so we would now who was in charge and how things were to be done.  He instilled a work ethic in us all that will remain with me thru out my own life.  It is with great respect and admiration that I remember Forrest, along with the many stories in which he was the principle character, some fit to be told others maybe not so much, all which occurred while we worked together at Gregory-Edwards, Inc. Forrest has my vote for the Pipefitterâ€™s Hall Fame. His presence will be missed in this world but will surely be felt in the next..

To the family of Forrest Purvis:
  I was so sorry to hear of your loss.  I knew Forrest briefly, in his later years, altough I have known of his family from when we lived in Pelly so many years ago.  
  My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time, for I know that he will be sorely missed.
