

Fred Gentry, 74, of Baytown was born October 10, 1938 in Centre, AL and passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at home after a long battle with cancer. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Baytown Masonic Lodge #1357 and St. John United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Baytown Automobile Clinic until his retirement. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Flossie Gentry; brother, Kenneth Wayne Gentry; and wife of 46 years, Helen Jean Gentry. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Linda McKenzie of Baytown, Jo Ann and Ed McHugh of San Antonio, and Darlene Rocha of Baytown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Gentry, Joe and Denise Gentry, and Brenda Gentry, all of Baytown; grandchildren, Wendi Ferguson Koonce of Houston and Joel Martinez of Austin; step grandchildren, Michael, Robert, and Dennis McHugh; and great grandson, Cayden Koonce of Houston.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Bill Walles officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Macon, James Wilson, Henry Stephenson, Mike O'Sullivan, Lee Masters, and Kent Pitre.
