Fred Thomas Sneed

Fred Thomas Sneed, 99, of Baytown, Texas passed away on August 29, 2021. He was born in Parker County on July 19, 1922 to parents Frank and Sarah Sneed. He worked for the City of Baytown for 20 years before opening his own sign business which he enjoyed for another 20 years. Fred also served as a full gospel minister throughout his years in Baytown, Texas. He was married to Georgia Sneed for 67 years. Fred was a WWII Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and wife.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin and Paula Sneed of Mont Belvieu, John Sneed of LaPorte, Charles “Sam” and Kitty Sneed of Spring, and Richard and Kaye Sneed of Mont Belvieu; daughters and sons-in-laws, Amiee and Tom LaValley of Nacogdoches, and Janice Martin of Astoria. Grandchildren and their spouses Steven and Anna Sneed, Matthew and Alissa Sneed, Andrew Sneed, Cindy Sneed, Brandon and Jennifer Lavalley, Justin and Heather LaValley, Brooke Roberson, Shane Barefoot, Kristina and Richard Scott, and Nikki and Mike Jacobson, and numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Sneed, Matthew Sneed, Brandon LaValley, Josh Sneed, Brad Neal and Boyd Neal.

The family would like to acknowledge Mount Belvieu Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Three Oaks Hospice, and Visting Angels.

Fred will be laid to rest at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown, Texas.
