Gary Wayne Burton

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Edna Burton of Baytown.

Being one of 10 children, Gary is survived by siblings, Delores Daniels, Richard Burton, Judy Henicke and her husband Michael; daughter Rebecca “Becky” Wilson and husband Dennis of Crosby; grandchildren, Kirstin and Peyton Wilson, along with several nieces and nephews.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Gary served with distinction as a CPL of the United States Marine Corp where he earned several medals, including the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a member of Coady Baptist Church. He retired from JM Huber after 24 years and also worked at O’Reilly Auto Parts for 12 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. Gary also enjoyed spending time with family and his two close buddies, Butch and Gary.

A memorial will be held at Coady Baptist Church, 5606 Wade Road Baytown, TX 77521, on May 17, 2015 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers Gary has requested a donation be made to Coady Baptist Church.
