Gary Wayne Wright

Gary Wayne Wright, age 64, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. Born on April 16, 1960, in Houston, Texas, he was the cherished son of Shirley Ann and Fred Neil Wright. Gary poured his heart into everything he did, whether it was at home or work. He was proud to be a part of Union Local 313 in Baytown, working tirelessly at NASA Space Center, where he later became the Business Agent for Local 313. Advocating for his colleagues was a source of great pride and allowed him to travel doing what he loved and helping others.

Gary had a passion for the outdoors, and he loved spending time hunting and fishing. These activities became even more special when shared with his children, family, and friends. His greatest joy, however, came from being with his loved ones, and he always offered support and care to everyone around him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Fred and Shirley Wright; his grandparents, Glen Beck, Mildred Holder, and Charles Bynum; his brothers, Larry and Fred Wright; his son, Brandon Wayne Wright; and his niece, Sloan Myrick Nagy.

Gary is survived by his spouse, Lou Ann Lamb-Wright; his children and their spouses, Courtney and Brian Runkle, Briana and Clinton Saunders, Geni and Ritchy Medina, and Brandon's former spouse, Terri Wright; his bonus kids, Quade and Clayton Lamb; and his beautiful grandchildren, Michael and Brysen Runkle, Somer Wright, and Lillian Saunders. He is also survived by the mothers of his children, Donna Myers and Brenda Beauchamp.

He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Tammy Wright; his brothers Corey Wright and former spouse Robin, and Michael DeVille and former spouse Marcella; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory. His warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

Visitation be held from 12-1 pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, followed by funeral service which will begin at 1:00 pm.
