It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hadyn Lee Barrow, lovingly known as Lee. Born in Baytown on August 21, 1965, Lee passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 60. He was deeply cherished by family and friends and will be remembered for his strong beliefs, warmth, and unwavering kindness that touched so many lives, a kindness many recall through his thoughtful attention to others.
Preceded in death by Lee's mother, Judi Barrow. Survived by Lee’s loving father, Steve Barrow; his beloved wife, Jo; his brother, Patrick Barrow, and Patrick’s wife, Emily; and two beloved nieces, Haley and Amanda Barrow.
A devoted Christian, Lee was a proud member of Rollingbrook Fellowship Church and found joy in participating in the men's worship group, where he formed lasting connections and deepened his faith. Lee graduated from Sterling High School in 1983. He enjoyed a varied career working in music and bookstores, from the San Jacinto Mall to Houston Second Baptist Church. In high school, Lee played the double bass in the orchestra where his love of music began. He was honored to be in the All-Regional Orchestra three years in a row, a testament to his dedication and talent.
Lee loved reading and possessed a remarkable appetite for books—able to out read the best of us. Friends often turned to him with the familiar question, “What do you think about that book?” trusting his thoughtful insight and genuine enthusiasm. He also had a deep appreciation for sports, especially cheering for the Steelers, despite the good natured disapproval of his friends and family, which he often returned by enthusiastically supporting the Astros. Lee also found immense joy in music, with a particular fondness for anything featuring the Beatles or Paul McCartney.
Though Lee is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, inspiring love, kindness, and compassion.
