

Henry James ""Hank"" Gainer, 86, of Beach City, TX was born January 1, 1924 in Beaumont and passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at home. He was a member of Fisher Road Baptist Church, Barbers Hill Lions Club and a member of Lions Club International since 1965. He retired from the Brick Layers Union Local #13 and was a US Navy veteran and served on both the USS Lawrence and USS Lexington during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Angelina Gainer; brothers, William, Leon, Jr. and Elmo Gainer; sisters, Josephine Sarver, Alice White, Ann Skibo and Evelyn Bateman. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Kerr Gainer of Beach City; children and their spouses, Jeanette Garner of Beach City, Deborah and Les Watson of Bartlett, Henry Jr. and Evelyn Gainer of Spicewood, Marilyn Harrison and Larry Conrad of Beach City, Evan Gainer of Taylor and Karen Y'Barbo of Beaumont; grandchildren and their spouses, Ann and T. J. Vanacore, Cathy Russell, Christopher French, Donnie French, Zachary and Jennifer Gonzales, Dustin Robins, Melinda Harrison, Carly Gainer-Mooney, Abra Gainer, Jennifer and Justin Meuse, Amanda and Keith Brown, Dana and Joel Pace, Amanda and Clint Owen, Cory Gainer-Mooney, John Robins and Meagan Collier, Emily Gainer and Howard McCallie, Katelyn Y'Barbo, Jessie Y'Barbo and James Evan Gainer; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandbaby due to arrive any day now.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services with military honors will be Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Hughes officiating. At his request, he will be cremated afterwards.
Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher French, Zachary Gonzales, Dustin Robins, John Robins, James Gainer and Joel Pace. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews and Dr. John Jones.
