

Herbert Kissick, 94, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at a local healthcare facility. He was born September 29, 1915 in Lynchburg to his late parents, Charles Walter Kissick and Edna Louisa Wright Kissick and lived in the Baytown area his entire life.
Mr. Kissick was a retired operator from Exxon Chemical after 32 years of service, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in North Africa and France, charter member and past deacon of First Presbyterian Church, member of Faith Presbyterian Church and enjoyed camping, woodworking, word puzzles, and coin collecting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alma Kissick; son, Bert Kissick; son-in-law, Doug Jackson and a brother, James Walter Kissick.
Survivors include his son, Fred Kissick and his wife Kim of Oklahoma City, OK; daughters, Dottie Jackson of Baytown and Leah Larson and her husband Greg of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Richard Jackson, Robert Jackson, Christopher Kissick, Michael Kissick, Byron Larson, Celeste Larson and Ashley Kissick; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Blake, Marshall, Logan and Tabitha; sister, Mary Louise Oehler of Baytown and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 at Navarre Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Memory Gardens with a memorial service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church with Dr. Richard Kleiman officiating.
