

Ignacio Martínez Silva, de 77 años, de Crosby, Texas, falleció el Domingo 10 de Agosto del 2025 en su hogar, rodeado de su querida familia. Nació en El Trompillo San Luis Potosí, México, el 9 de Junio de 1948, hijo de los difuntos Valentín Martínez y Bonifacia Silva. En 1985, conoció al amor de su vida, una joven compasiva llamada Guadalupe Reyes, y pasaron los siguientes 40 años construyendo su hermosa vida juntos. Se dedicó a la Electricidad Industrial.
Ignacio tenía muchos intereses, algunos de los cuales incluían ver fútbol, escuchar música, bailar o jugar con su querido perro Cayzer. Amaba la naturaleza y estar al aire libre, ya fuera en el jardín o en la playa. Disfrutaba viajar a México, donde creció y donde aún tenía familia. Era un verdadero amante de la comida, siendo su favorita las entomatadas. Ignacio también encontraba placer en las cosas sencillas de la vida, como sentarse en su mecedora a ver la televisión. A él le gustaba mucho platicar sin cesar, sobre cada tema que le eran de gran interés. Ignacio era un hombre realista y te contaba las cosas como eran, aunque la verdad dolía. Siempre estaba alegre y era naturalmente gracioso, buscando a menudo hacer reír a su familia. Sus seres más cercanos le pusieron muchos apodos: Chatito, Pa, Don Nacho, El Toques y Papito. Ignacio podía iluminar cualquier habitación con su presencia y su risa contagiosa. Sobre todo, su mayor alegría provenía de pasar tiempo con su "Pandilla" , sus nietos, a quienes amaba incondicionalmente. Dedicó su vida a darle a su familia todas las oportunidades que él nunca pudo tener.
A Ignacio le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; y sus hermanas Marcelina Martínez Silva, Juana Martínez Silva y Reyna Martínez Silva. Le sobreviven su Esposa Guadalupe Reyes; sus hijos; Florián Martínez y su esposo Julio Quintero, Cristina Martínez, Idalia Martínez, Jorge Martínez, Ana Karen Bourde y su esposo Patrick Bourde, Erika Gómez y su esposo Jacinto Gonzales , Angélica Gómez; sus nietos Itayetzi, Joshua, John Paul, JeanCarlos, Johanna, Luis Diego, Ignacio José (Nachito), Erick Yair, Alan Daniel, Raymundo y Regina; sus bisnietos Víctor, Erika, Janet, Erick y Fernando; sus hermanos Ramona Martínez Silva, Carmen Martínez Silva, Jesús Martínez Silva, José Martínez Silva, Javier Martínez Silva, José Luis Martínez Silva y Martín Martínez Silva, así como sus numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos y primos, junto con una gran cantidad de otros queridos familiares y amigos.

Ignacio Martinez Silva, 77, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in El Trompillo San Luis Potosi, Mexico, on June 9, 1948, to the late Valentin Martinez and Bonifacia Silva. In 1985, he met the love of his life, a compassionate young woman named Guadalupe Reyes, and they spent the next 40 years building their beautiful life together. He made his career as an industrial electrician.
Ignacio pursued many interests, some of which included watching soccer, listening to music and dancing or playing with his beloved dog Cayzer. He loved nature and being outdoors, whether it was out in the backyard or at the beach. Ignacio enjoyed traveling back to Mexico where he grew up and still had family. He was a true lover of all food, his favorite being “Entomatadas”, a dish that includes fried corn tortillas with a tomato sauce and cheese sprinkled on top. Ignacio also found pleasure in the simple things in life such as sitting in his rocking chair while watching television. He loved chatting without ceasing, especially about topics that were of great interest to him. Ignacio was a realistic man and would tell you how things were even if it hurt your feelings. He was always happy and naturally funny, often looking to make his family laugh. He had many names given to him by the people closest to him; Chatito, Pa, Don Nacho, El Toques, and Papito. Ignacio could light up a room with his presence and his infectious laugh. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his “Pandilla” or crew, his grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally. He dedicated his life to giving his family all the opportunities he wasn’t able to have.
Ignacio was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters Marcelina Martinez Silva, Juana Martinez Silva, and Reyna Martinez Silva. He leaves behind his wife Guadalupe Reyes; his children; Florian Martinez and husband Julio Quintero, Cristina Martinez, Idalia Martinez, Jorge Martinez, Ana Karen Bourde and husband Patrick Bourde, Erika Gomez and husband Jacinto Gonzales, Angelica Gomez; his grandchildren Itayetzi, Joshua, John Paul, JeanCarlos, Johanna, Luis Diego, Ignacio Jose (Nachito), Erick Yair, Alan Daniel, Raymundo, Regina; his great-grandchildren; Victor, Erika, Janet, Erick, Fernando; his siblings Ramona Martinez Silva, Carmen Martinez Silva, Jesus Martinez Silva, Jose Martinez Silva, Javier Martinez Silva, Jose Luis Martinez Silva and Martin Martinez Silva and his numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
