It's been over a year since you left us, but I still think of you daily. I miss you so much my sweet Poppa. How lucky we all were to have you in our lives. You thought us all so much about how to live and how to love. The example that you set in your life lives on in us. Growing up I always admired the love between you and Nannie and hoped that one day I would find a love like that. Till I see you again. Your granddaughter, Julie

Today you enter my mind not with sorrow but with awe.  For it is today that you celebrate Easter in the presence of a risen Savior.   You can see the light in His eyes,  feel the love in His heart, and touch His nail-scarred hands.  We only walk by faith while you walk by His side.

To my dear Bro James,

You knew me practicly all my live. When I was young, you and Anita Faye put up with me at church, at your house, at parties and even camping!
When I grew up and married, you two put up with us at church, dinners, parties, and camping too! I wouldn't trade a minute of it! You helped us through many a time emotionally, spiritually, and even marriage advice; and especially raising our son! We can't thank you enough. Thank you for being that father figure and friend just when I needed you! 
You have always been a part of my life and I look forward to spending eternity in heave with you guys praising Jesus and singing, and visiting together  I just realized, you are never going to get rid of me!!!

I'm really missing you daddy down here where I live but I know that you are singing and preaching in heaven where you have always talked and taught me for years. Will think of you every minute of the day, and find myself laughing sometimes at all of the silly things you did while you were sick and that makes it easier to live down on earth without you. Love you my daddy to the moon and back a thousand Times.

You were the one who always visited with me and made me feel comfortable at family functions. As I watched this family over the years, you were the Rock that kept this family together with your spiritual strength, knowledge, thoughtfulness and generosity. You not only preached the word of God, you lived it. You will be missed, but you earned the right to walk with Jesus. I am proud to call you my Father-In-Law.

I love you so much and miss you! I wish that I could sing with you one last time, but I know that you are singing in heaven now. I am so blessed to have had such a great influence in my life and it was better because you were in it. I know that I will see you again someday. Your memory will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives you have touched.

Tammy and Family, I am so sorry to learn of your Dad's passing.  He was always so kind.  I know he is enjoying the many blessings and promises of his Heavenly home.  But we left behind feel the void but know we will be joined in time.

When I was just a little girl, I'd climb upon your knee.
And I recall the stories you sometimes told to me.
You told me about Noah and the big boat that he built.
You told me about Jesus and three crosses on a hill.
You sang to be about God's love and of eternity.
And many nights you rocked me till I was sound asleep.
The years flew by and I grew up. Too big for Daddy's knee.
But I never outgrew needing the love you showed to me.
My mind drifts back to yesteryears and of the times we shared.
And I'm so glad that I was blessed to always have you near.
'Trust in God' you always said.
And trust in God I will!
So when my days are finished here I'll join you there with Him.
I love you Daddy!
