

James Paul Lansford passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004 in a Baytown hospital surrounded by family and friends. He was born September 4, 1940, to Ray and Claudia Lansford in Highlands, Texas. He was a resident of Highlands and retired with Exxon as a Supervisor after 29 years of service. He was an active member of Gospel Lighthouse Church where he taught an adult Sunday School class for many years. He enjoyed cooking and bible study.
Mr. Lansford is preceded in death by his parents, son, Jamie Dean Lansford, and a brother, Charles Ray Lansford. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gladys Lansford of Highlands, sons, Gary “Bubba” Lansford and wife Linda of Kenefick, Randall Lansford and Anne Brown of Pasadena, daughters, Kelly Shaw and husband Charlie of Highlands, Penne Davis of Highlands, sister, Janice Swick and husband Charles of Baytown, brother, Rev. Carroll Lansford and wife Gayle of Highlands, special relatives, Judy McKnight and husband Charles of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, grandchildren, James Shaw, Andrew Shaw, Taylor Lansford, Haley Lansford, and Mariah Davis, many special nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
Visitation will be today, Dec. 6, 2004, from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 7, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Chapel with Rev. Carroll Lansford officiating.
Assisting with the service will be Charles Swick and Rev. Charles McKnight.
Special music will be provided by Tammy and Denny Wells.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Lansford, Doug Lansford, Steve Jeter, Aaron Jeter, Mike Jeter, and Charles Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be James Shaw and Andrew Shaw.
Following the service, burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
