

Chief Warrant Officer-4, Jeffry “Broko” Boland, 50, of Little Mountain, South Carolina, passed away at his home in Mont Belvieu, TX, surrounded by his family on July 4th, 2024, after a valiant battle with metastatic melanoma. He was born in Galveston, TX on May 8th, 1974, to Leon Francis Boland and Deborah Jean Boland.
His father’s service in the United States Coast Guard allowed him the opportunity to reside in different states throughout his childhood but he was happiest in his hometown of Little Mountain, South Carolina. Broko was an American patriot through and through. He loved his country and proudly served in the United States Navy for 7 years after graduating from Mid-Carolina High School in 1992, followed by 24 years of dedicated service in the United States Coast Guard. He never met a stranger; you could not meet Broko and forget him. Broko’s life touched many and his impact is far and wide. He was known for his astounding military career, sincere faith in Christ, his sense of humor and jovial manner. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. His absence will forever leave a hole in our hearts.
Broko is survived by his wife, Clara Boland; his daughter, Amber Fonseca (Alfredo) and sons, Kyle Hurst and Colton Boland; his grandchildren, Kason and Lilah Fonseca; his mother, Deborah Boland and sister, Angela Boland; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Leon Francis Boland.
Visitation will be held from 11 am - 1 pm, Friday, July 12, 2024, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, followed by the funeral service which will begin at 1:00 PM.
