Jim Flynt

He was born October 13, 1932 in Baytown to his late parents, Harris Flynt and Vivian Bose Flynt. He was a lifelong resident of the Baytown area, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight engineer in the Strategic Air Command.

Jim was a retired Instrument, Electrical and Radio Shop Supervisor from Armco Steel with 26 years of service. He was an avid small aircraft private pilot.

Mr. Flynt was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geneva Elmore.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Flynt of Mont Belvieu; daughters, René Heard and her husband Randy of Mont Belvieu and Cheryl Harrell and her husband Tommy of Dayton; grandchildren, Kyle Heard and Hayley Heard, both of Mont Belvieu; brother-in-law, Charles Elmore of Hitchcock; nephew, Tracey Keith of Deer Park; niece, Cynthia Wilson and her husband Scott of Austin and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Randy Heard, Kyle Heard, Tommy Harrell, Charles Elmore, Alan Flynt and Gary Flynt

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the funeral home.
