

Mrs. Burns had lived in Zavalla for the last 20 years and had previously lived in Baytown and Raywood. She was a retired Customer Service Supervisor from Houston Lighting and Power and enjoyed crafts, gardening and yard work. Her life revolved around her family and her beloved dog Mikey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bobby Cramer and Jack Cramer.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jim Burns of Zavalla; children, James R. Burns, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Baytown, Stephanie Maxwell and her husband Frede of League City and Kenneth Burns and his wife Brenda of Tarkington Prairie; grandchildren, Kim Babineaux and her husband Jason, Falon Gunter and her husband Matt, Hannah Burns, Katie Hanchey and her husband Jay and Jaybo Burns; great-grandchildren, Kelton Gunter, Kaleigh Babineaux, Parker Babineaux, Bryson Gunter and Jaycee Hanchey; brother, Ray Cramer and his wife Debbie of Baytown and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow the cemetery service at the home of Randy and Cathy Burns, 3907 Trailwood Drive in Baytown.
