Joan will be lovingly remembered by her beloved daughter Margaret Perry; son, Harold and wife MaryLou Schultz; daughter, Shirley and husband Rick Perez as well as 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Joan also leaves behind a brokenhearted, supportive group of relatives of nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Joan is joined in rest by her mother, Eula Pearl, her father, Robert, her sisters Lorene, Billie, and Jean, and brothers, Larry, Ralph, Robert, along with many other loved ones throughout her life.
Joan worked as a key punch operator for Harris County Courthouse for 30 years.
Joan lived her life with the things she enjoyed most: her love for her family, for God, for dance and for travel. Joan was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years
Joan was a big personality in a small package. She had an impact on each person she interacted with. She was courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, funny, full of joy, a ball of fire that showed us what can be accomplished with determination and persistence. She lived her life to the fullest. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were the love of her family and the gift of being a Mother and Grandmother.
Joan’s loss is deeply felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live in those whose lives she touched.
