
John F. Donnelly, 87, of Baytown, TX was born September 9, 1918 in Dewar, OK and passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006 in Wimberley. He retired from Exxon Refinery with 40 years of service and was a U. S. Army WWII veteran. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, the Instrument Society of America, and was a member of the Baytown Volunteer Fire Department from 1957 until 1993.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Dwight Canizares officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston
Serving as pallbearers will be James Donnelly, Coy Crawford, Matt McAfee, Jay Patterson, Jonas Pond, and Jimmy Simpson. Honorary pallbearer is former Mayor Pete Alfaro.
He was preceded in death by his fist wife, June Donnelly and four brothers and one sister and is survived by his wife, Leontine Donnelly of Baytown; son and daughter-in-law, John Stephen and Patti Donnelly of Pearland; daughters and sons-in-law, Molly and Bill Verr of Bandera, Dixie and Charles Patterson of Wimberley, Pat and Steve McAfee of Missoula, MT, Margaret and Mickey Crawford of Baytown, Janie and Dick Dolecek of Evergreen, CO, and Ellen and Charles Cooper of Baytown; sister, Ruth Jean Simpson of Pasadena; and 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions maybe made to the St. Joseph Catholic School Library, 1811 Carolina Ave., Baytown, TX 77520.
