John Lee Kirkland

John Lee Kirkland, 23, of Baytown was born March 23, 1985 in Baytown and passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Montgomery County. He was a pipe fitter and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leigh Ann McGinnis Wier and grandparents, Cecil Kirkland and Hilda McGinnis. He is survived by his son, Braedon Kirkland, parents, John and Patti Kirkland and brother, Christopher Melder, all of Baytown; sister, Tara Anne Kirkland of Houston; grandmother, Elaine Kirkland of Baytown; aunt and uncle, Brenda and Ricky Clem of Baytown; stepbrothers, Stacy Haley of Baytown and Eric Wayne Barnett and Jacob Barnett, both of Houston; stepsisters, Rhonda Barnett of Highlands, Amber Barnett of Houston and Savannah Barnett of Lake Jackson; and the mother of his son, Brittany Carsner of Highlands.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home on Friday, August 8, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedarcrest Cemetery on Ferry Road with Rev. Brad Hoffman officiating.
