John was born on August 9, 1946, in Baytown Texas. He had a career with Houston Lighting & Power for 30 years.
John was known for his love of fishing, camping, photography, baseball and the Dallas Cowboys.
John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosa, his high school sweetheart; his children Matthew, Sonja, and her husband Ken. Preceded in death by his daughter Rachel. Survived by his grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Dominic, Lindsey, and Alexander and his wife Jessica; great grandchildren Mason, Major, Mia, Philomena, Ruth, Evangeline, and Eden; and his sister, Mariechen.
The family will receive guests on October 16, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, located at 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas, 77521. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. The Committal Service will take place on October 16, 2025, at 12:30 pm at Sterling-White Cemetery, located at 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas, 77562.
Pallbearers will be Alexander Murray, Ken Brown, Matthew Murray, Jeff Ramirez, Chris Ramirez, and Luc Dang.
