

Johnny D. Perez (Pops), 76 years of age, is resting in peace in the presence of our heavenly Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Pops passed on Wednesday, September 3, 2015 at 5:00 am, at Kindred Hospital in Baytown. Pops was a long time resident of Baytown, Texas. He was born in Port Isabel, Texas on March 8, 1939.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sara G. Perez, parents Bernardo and Anita B. Perez, brother Billy Perez, and sister Cora P. Martin.
He is survived by his children, daughters: Jo Ann Castellanos and husband Alfonso, Janie Rodriguez and husband Edward, sons: Johnny A. Perez and wife Maria, Rafael Perez and wife Camie, Jerry B. Perez and wife Denise, Nick Perez and wife Gracie, David A. Perez and wife Sherie. Also grandchildren: Roland Castellanos and wife Laura, Blanca Velazquez and husband Angel, Sara P. Stokes and husband Ryan, Audrey Castellanos and Steven Miller, Jerry Allen Perez and wife Megan, Alexandria P. Magallon and husband Miguel, Eddie Rodriguez and wife Ruthie, Eric Rodriguez, Elysse Rodriquez, Nick Perez Jr and Rosalie Molina, Amanda Perez, Angelina Perez, Ryan Perez, Paris Perez, and Noah Perez,. He has eight great-grandsons: Alfonso Paul, Roland Christian, Leonardo Luciano, Valentin Mateo, Dante Lucca, Jayden Anthony, Parker John, and Fabian Marcos Tadeo, and one great-granddaughter Lilyana Isabel. Also, his brothers Nayo Perez and wife Yolanda, Joe Fred Perez and wife Cindy, and sister Linda Sagnas and husband Everett. In addition to numerous family members.
Pops is a member of First Church of New Beginnings in Baytown. He looked forward to being there every Wednesday and Sunday for services. Pops is a man with many great qualities. He is a humble man and material things do not matter to him. He will give his shirt off his back to help anyone and everyone who needs it. In stating this, pops has the biggest heart ever, and everyone who knows him will agree, that their lives have been touched by him. His favorite hobbies included; fishing, making beaded jewelry, family outings, spoiling his grandkids and spending time with his children. Pops is a marvelous man, the most caring, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He touches the lives of many here on earth. He is greatly missed.
Funeral services will be at Earthman’s Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd. Baytown, TX, On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, from 5-8pm, and Wednesday September 9, 2015. At 10:00 am. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Rosalio Galvan II, Ramon Galvan, Lloyd Galvan, David Galvan, Juan Gamez, Cirillo Martinez, Polo Galvan, and Donny Martin.
