L. W. Dub Sowders

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Lucille Sowders; parents, William and Bessie Sowders; brothers, John E. Sowders and Jack G. Sowders; and sisters, Imogene Griffin and Lola Fay Stock. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda & Donald McLellan and Barbara & Danny Troxell, all of Baytown; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Ray and Marie Sowders of Mont Belvieu; sister, Hazel Clemmons of Crosby; grandchildren, Arin Troxell Vara and husband, Manuel of Houston and Leigh Troxell Maxwell and husband, Brian of College Station; great grandson, Liam Maxwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, May 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. John Satherley officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Sowders, Dennis Sowders, Sean Clemmons, Randy Clemmons, John Leman, and Jack G. Sowders, Jr.
