Laura Lee Green

Laura Lee Green, 96, of Richmond, TX, formerly Baytown was born March 29, 1916 in Leesville, LA and passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 in Richmond. She attended Robert E. Lee High School and retired from Humble Oil and Refining Co. and was a member of the Exxon Annuitants. She was a very active member of Victory Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy ""Champ"", Sr. and Rhoda Glass; husband, Elmer L. ""Kiddie"" Green; son-in-law, Temple Ashcraft, Sr.; great grandsons, Jonathan Davis and Jason Thompson; and three brothers and a sister. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Nadine and Charles Davis of High Island and Shirley Ashcraft of Richmond; brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Karen Glass of Missouri City; grandchildren and their spouses, Charles Elmer and Kelle Davis of Baytown, Lee and Kristin Ashcraft of Round Rock, Laurie Heiman of Richmond, Laura K. and Wade Ballinger of Old River, Temple Ashcraft, Jr. and fiancé, Karen Toedter, and Mitch and Tana Fedric of Bridgeport; great grandchildren, SSgt Shaun Davis, U. S. Marine Corps, Charlie Davis, Kimberli Smith, Alan Hall, Ray Heiman, and Michelle Heiman; great great grandchildren, John Conrad, Bristol, Avery Ann, and Macie Davis and Kendall, Katia, and Korina Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 1800 E. Archer Rd., Baytown, TX 77521 with Pastor Danny Bezet officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Dayton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Ashcraft, Temple Ashcraft, Jr., Wade Ballinger, Charles Avery Davis, Charles Elmer Davis, Alan Hall, and John Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be SSgt Shaun Davis, U. S. Marine Corps.
