Laverne Oddis Scott

Laverne Oddis Scott, 81, of Baytown, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2007. She was born in Nacogdoches, TX, June 19, 1925. She was a beautician and ran her own shop. She was a member of the Church of Christ-Lakewood.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Lillie McVay; brother, Aubrey McVay.

She is survived by her husband, Clifton Scott; sons, Robert “Bob” Scott, Terry Scott and wife Darlene, Alvin Scott and wife Linda; grandchildren, Jessie Scott, Jeremy Scott and wife Dana, Janet Lanas and husband Greg, Judy Scott; great grandchildren, Chelsea Scott, Zachary Scott, Brandon Lanas, Brigitte McCaleb, Aaron McCaleb, Skylar Hall, Austin Canon, Quincy Canon, Brenton Canon; sisters, Lois Allen, Mozelle Cox; brother, Lloyd McVay and wife Nelda; nephews, Kenny McVay and Randy McVay.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home, officiated by David Ellis. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
