

Linda Kay Johnson Miller, 71, of Highlands, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 in Houston after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 3, 1941 in Texarkana, Texas to Ralph and Marie Johnson.
Linda was a proud 1960 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and was a member of First Baptist Church. She married her high school sweetheart, Johnny Miller, on March 10, 1961 at Cedar Bayou Baptist Church. She was very involved with her children, serving as a school volunteer and a Vacation Bible School teacher. Her involvement continued with her grandchildren. Linda was a wonderful homemaker and known for her cooking skills. As an artist, she volunteered her talents to several events. She enjoyed monthly luncheons and activities with the ""Class of 1960 Lunch Buddies"".
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Johnny Miller; son, Bryan Miller; daughter, Michelle Miller Padgett and husband, Kurt; father, Ralph Johnson; grandchildren, Trent & John-Ryan Padgett and Bryce & Macey Miller; sister, Carolyn Speas and husband, Mark; sister-in-law, Patricia Smith and husband, Travis, and numerous other family members.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Beau Rosser officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd in Baytown.
Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Trent Padgett, John-Ryan Padgett, Trevor Smith, Ken Speas, Nathan Speas, and Travis Smith.
