Louis B. Traverso

Louis B. Traverso of Baytown passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the age of 90. Louis was born September 9, 1921 to Annetta and Louis Traverso. After graduating from Barber's Hill High School, Louis enrolled in Lee College in Baytown. Upon the onset of World War II, Louis enlisted in the United States Army, and proudly served his country. In 1948 Louis married Oline Henderson. It was a union that would last 64 years. Louis retired from Exxon in Baytown after 32 years of service. Louis was also a Shriner, an organization he devoted much time to.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Willie Traverso, sisters Annetta Burns, Myrtle Lyons and Estelle Weston, and his beloved wife, Oline Traverso. Louis is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Connie Hunt of Makawao, HI, granddaughters, Heather Thomason of Melbourne, Australia, and Nichol Nichols of San Antonio, great-granddaughter, Makayla Nichols; and numerous nieces and nephews whose care was much appreciated.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
