He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on Feb. 13th, 1930, to parents William Eugene Westerman and Juliette Lowe Westerman.
He lived a busy life, enjoying family time, swimming, singing in the church choir, listening to his favorite music, model ship building, and many other activities. He was the treasurer of the Kiwanis Club, past president of the Baytown Symphony orchestra, and past YMCA President.
He served honorably in the United States Navy as a Communications Officer on the USS Saipan. He attained a PHD and moved to Baytown, TX, working his entire career for Humble oil & Refining Co (Exxon Research & Engineering Co) as a research scientist.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Jean Westerman, sister Ruth Schleiniger (husband Al), son David Westerman, and granddaughter Mandy Westerman.
Lowell is survived by daughters Cheryl Westerman and Judy Britton (husband Don), sons William Westerman (wife Debbie) and Jim Westerman (wife Mariza), daughter-in-law Lisa Westerman, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 10:15 am, and the service will be at 11:00am on Saturday, February 10th at Faith Presbyterian Church located at 3900 N Main St. Baytown, Texas, 77521.
