

Luis Luna, 62, of Baytown was born August 25, 1944 in Alice and was surrounded by his loving family Friday, June 22, 2007 when he went to be with his Lord after a long battle with cancer. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church and was a heavy equipment mechanic for various companies, most recently Enterprise Transportation. He enjoyed going to football games with his grandchildren and going to the family ranch in South Texas.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Adan Luna and sister, Guadalupe Luna and is survived by his wife, Francis Luna of Baytown (also known as “The Kroger Lady”); sons and daughter-in-law, Isauro Jr. and Velma Franco of Alice and Jose Luis “Louie” Gonzales and Lisa Acosta of Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Esmeralda and Ramero Marroquin of Robstown and Virginia Ramirez, Leticia and Arnulfo Razo, and Letitia and Mario Morales, all of Baytown; parents, Valentin and Ester Luna of Alice; brothers and sisters-in-law, Valentin Luna Jr., and Rene and Rosie Luna, all of Alice; sisters and brothers-in-law, Estella and Oscar Ramirez, Maria Elena and Frank Lemon, Eva Luna, Irma Luna, Lucia Charles, and Linda and Robert Torrez, all of Alice; and 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be his eldest grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be Adam West Razo and Eric Gonzales.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Luis’ family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and Odyssey Healthcare for their special care and support shown during his illness.
