Lydia Mae Laird Scarborough

Lydia Mae Laird Scarborough, 100, of Baytown, TX was born June 20, 1907 in Oberlin, LA. and passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Her family was her focus.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Scarborough; grandson, Anthony Paul Walters; and great granddaughter, Teri Jayne Anderson. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Malone and Wanda Walters, both of Baytown; grandchildren, Roland Malone, Robert Walters Jr., Laird Ray Walters, Jeffrey Lynn Walters and Sandra Bransford; great grandchildren, Laird Ray Walters Jr., Melissa Cherry, Jessica Smith, Crystal Seratte and Hollie Raspberry; and great great grandchildren, Toni Gelske, Derrick Cherry, Jade Cherry, Kaela Ortiz and Josh Raspberry.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jessie Bransford, Preston Carley, Steve McDowell, Darrell Cherry, Nathan Bruce, and Luis Garcia.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Her family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Greg Terry for his care and to the staff of St. James House and Ellen Laury for their loving devotion and care.
