

Margie Louise Rowe, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, born December 5, 1924 in Lebanon, MO. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Arizona with her four daughters by her side.
Margie grew up in Missouri and met and married a young soldier, John Rowe. They were married for 71 years. They raised four daughters and one son. She was a great wife and mother. She was very involved in the community - the THW Club, Christian Women United Child Care Center, Baytown Retired Teachers Association, and was an elder at First Christian Church for many years. Margie was an employee of GCISD as a Teacher's Aide for 19 years.
She loved her family and always provided a comfortable home where she lived for over 66 years. She shared her morals and values with each of her children and gave them a sense of belonging. Over the past 40 years she had quilted 26 quilts for each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Thomas Rowe, Jr and her son, John Thomas Rowe, III and wife, Cathy and their daughter, Jessica; grandson, Corey Carlton Dorman; and her nephew, Kenny Rowe.
She is survived by her four daughters - Annetta Rose and husband, Soren, BJ Dorman, Carol Merka and husband Charles, and Connie Buckmaster and husband Gary; and nine grandchildren – Richard Rose and wife Lori, Cindy McMann and husband Sheldon, Cathy Cantu and husband Ernest, Rebecca Chapman, Kimberly Cook and husband Corbin, Angela Askew and husband John, Joshua Rowe and wife Terri, Morgan Nelson, and Matthew Nelson; and great grandchildren – Lindsey and husband Joey, Taylor, Victoria, Madison, Jordan, Evelyn, Thomas, John Luke, Emily, Blake and Katherine; three nieces and one nephew, and many friends who all loved her dearly.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at First Christian Church, 201 Forrest Street, Baytown with Rev. Paul Lowe officiating. Following will be the graveside service at Cedarcrest Cemetery at 3010 Ferry Road in Baytown and then a reception will be held at First Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Rowe, Matthew Nelson, Mitchell Jackson, John Askew, Charles Merka and Gary Buckmaster.
