Mary Howard Brown, age 62, passed away at home in Katy on June 19, 2013. She was born in Baytown on August 9, 1950. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Gladys Brown of Baytown, and her son James Bert Brown of Houston. She is survived by her husband Robert Brown; her son Daniel Brown and wife Kim; daughter-in-law Tammie Brown; and her grandchildren Courtney Lee Brown, Todd Nathaniel Brown, Shelby Violet Brown, Reidland Robert Brown, and Bret Howard Brown.
Mary was a loving and caring wife, mother and ""Meme"". She was married to Robert Brown on November 27, 1970; they were married 42 years. Mary was a devoted mother and housewife that enjoyed traveling with her family and helping raise her five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2013 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Crosby.
