

Mary Nell Johnson, age 84, of Jacinto City, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at her home in Jacinto City, Texas. She was born February 8th, 1932 at her family home in Donaldson, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Nancy Williams. She was a loving Mother and Wife. Mary was a homemaker and sold Avon in and around Jacinto City for 45 years. She was a faithful active member and Sunday School teacher at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Jacinto City. She enjoyed writing, poetry, community service and baking in the kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her loving husband Barney, her brothers Eugene Williams and John Russell Williams, and her sister Irene Sandage. Left to cherish her memory are her children Connie Swearingen and her husband Tommy, Sharon Pantin and her husband Ken, Patrice Coots and her husband Howard, Travis Johnson and his wife Carol; sisters Martha James, Agee Sutton and Velma Sandage; grandchildren Kenneth and Thomas Pantin, Nichole Pantin Holmes, Jennifer Swearingen Evans, Jamie Bird, Jeff Swearingen, Jasen Coots, LeeAnn Franks, Levi and Luke Johnson; and ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. The funeral service will also be at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Allen Lee officiating with burial to will follow at San Jacinto Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Holmes, Kenneth Pantin, Thomas Pantin, Chad Bird, Jasen Coots, and Lance Evans.
