Mike Bartlett

Mike Bartlett, 58, of Liberty was born December 8, 1950 in Port Arthur and passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 in a Houston hospital. He was a member of the North Main Baptist Church in Liberty and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Noel Bartlett and is survived by his wife, Chris Bartlett of Liberty; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Scott and Jeanifer Bartlett of Port Neches; daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Michael Riley of Liberty; mother, Ruby Lee Bartlett of Kountze; brother and sister-in-law, Noel Jr. and Sally Bartlett of Lumberton; sister and brother-in-law, Melinda and Joe Bumstead of Kountze; and grandchildren, Lane, Landon and Kiersten Riley and Tyson Bartlett and soon to be born and to be named after his grandfather, Michael Gather Bartlett.

His family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the North Main Baptist Church, 4709 North Main, Liberty, TX 77575. A family graveside service will be held and the public is invited to attend a memorial service Monday, April 13, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the North Main Baptist Church with Rev. Dick Lintelman officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Blue, Russell Blue, James Pilcher, Joel Goode, Brandon Bumstead, Joe Bumstead, Chris Latiolais and Jerry Latiolais.
