Minnie Alice Hawks

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas Alvin Widner and Zena Williams Widner and husband, Guy Lewis Hawks. Minnie Alice is survived by a sister, Zella Fay Smith of Baytown; two brothers, Alvin Widner and wife Audrey of Angleton and Charles Widner and wife Mary of Livingston; three sons and a daughter, Michael Lewis Hawks and wife Nancy of Galveston, Mitchell Earl Hawks and wife Bonnie of Baytown, Sky Lance Edward Hawks and wife Emma of Pasadena, and Beverly McMillen Reid and husband Doug of Austin; grandchildren Kelley Elaine Hawks of Mont Belvieu, Cassie Janette Hawks and spouse, Becky Black of Tucson, AZ, Kinsey Hawks Sanders and husband, Ken of Crosby, Michael Thornton Hawks and wife, Charlsye Ming Hawks of Baytown, Dana Hawks Kubik and husband Josh of Beach City, Trina Hawks Morgan and husband Jason Paul of Baytown, Katie Eileen Hawks of Baytown, Cory Guy Hawks and wife Amanda of Humble, Cason Lee Hawks of Houston, and Sky Alyssa and Preston Lee of Pasadena; and great-grandchildren, Kari Ellis of Crosby, Kevin Ellis of Houston, Joshua and Alana Morgan of Liberty, Zander Crooks of Baytown, Aiden and Aubrey Kubik of Beach City, and Payton Star and Brealyn Ainsley Hawks of Humble.

Minnie Alice grew up in East Texas before moving to Galena Park and worked at the Rice Hotel in downtown Houston. After marrying Guy she lived at numerous USAF bases as a supportive wife and mother.

Minnie Alice held various positions at Wyatt's Cafeteria in Baytown before retiring.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home from 5 PM until 7 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM,

Friday, December 9, 2016, at Navarre Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Kleinhenz of the Living Hope Church of God in Baytown officiating. Private family burial service will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
