

Nettie Champagne Webb, beloved by many and adored by all, peacefully departed this life on August 18, 2025, at the age of 80. Born January 12, 1945, in New Iberia, Louisiana, Nettie called Baytown, Texas home for nearly half a century, where she helped shape a close-knit community through her warmth and generosity.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, David Webb; loving daughters, Kellie Claunch and Tara Webb; beloved grandchild, Sawyer Claunch (Sadie); and supportive son-in-law, Denny Burke. Nettie is also survived by her sisters—Deanna Charpentier, Wendy Pepper, Jackie Champagne, Kim Spiker, her brother, Roy I. Champagne, and brother-in-law Freddie Spiker. Many nieces and nephews, whose lives she touched with her kindness, will forever hold her in fond memory.
Nettie is reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Roy J. and Lonia K. Champagne; her daughter, Holly Webb; her son, Michael Webb; her sisters, Roylin Boudreaux and Charlsie Maturin; and her niece, Gina Landry Wyatte.
A dedicated homemaker and accomplished professional in clerical services, Nettie was known as a nurturing soul and a “mother to all.” Her passion for genealogy, love of travel, and fondness for a good Kindle book kept her curious and vibrant in retirement. Her home was always open to friends and newcomers alike—no one remained a stranger in her presence.
Nettie’s impact extended well beyond her family through her active involvement with the Lifeline Board, Evening Pilot Club and Beta Sigma Phi Laureate Mu. She believed deeply in service, always ready with a helping hand and a compassionate heart.
Her legacy of love and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 6th from 9 to 11 am at Navarre Funeral Home 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521.
Committal Service will be held September 19th at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Cemetery.
