I just learned the sad news, and I wanted to let you know that my family and I are thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. I have a lot of fond memories of your mom, both as a teacher, and as a neighborhood mom. Know that many are thinking of you at this time.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Blackburn's passing.  She was a wonderful PE teacher and taught me to have confidence about my athletic abilities.  I have such wonderful memories of her.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this rough time.

Sorry about your loss.  The Blackburns made some very nice neighbors.

Mrs. Blackburn was my sixth grade teacher at Burnet. She made our class so special that I actually looked forward to going to school every day. She was the kind of teacher that every child deserves to have and I was lucky to have had her.  She gave a lot of wonderful memories to many people.

I have such great memories living just two doors down from Pat and Bud.  The fun times they had with Martha and Morris will never be forgotten.

My heart goes out to the family. She was my favorite teacher at Travis. I saw her a few years ago and she still remembered me. She will be missed.

Jay and Mike, so sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. We meet both your parents when we lived at Westwood Apt. in 1970. We just love them.  They did so many fun things with all the residents of the apt. complex.  Your grandparents as well.  We lived above the office/their apt. It was really nice. So sorry to hear of Pat's passing.  She was such a special person.  She and Bud were the first people we met when we moved to Baytown in 1967 and we became fast friends.  One favorite memory is the ""Lost week-end in New Braunfels"" during Octoberfest.  What fun!  Pat will be missed by many.  Keeping Mike and Jay and their families in our hearts and prayers.

Please accept our sincerest condolences.  Pat was a ""grand"" lady.  It was our pleasure to have known her.

Mrs. Blackburn was my 6th grade teacher at David G. Burnett in 1962 and one that is fondly remembered. So sad to hear of her passing.

That such a vibrant, generous, caring personality as Pat's should have its light slowly, but unstoppably and progressively dimmed until finally being snuffed out completely this week by the terrible curse of Alzheimer's is heart-breaking to those of us who knew and loved her.  Yet there is also peace and great thanksgiving for Pat when we think of the joy she is experiencing in being released from this earthly body she could no longer control and, as a paraphrase of Psalm 116:8-9 promises, ""has now had her soul delivered from death, her eyes from tears, her feet from stumbling, and is now walking before the Lord in the land of the living.""  We rejoice with and for you, Pat!  We will miss you, but have many fond remembrances of the happy occasions we shared with you and Bud after our lives became intertwined by the marriage of our children to one another. We will always treasure these memories, and our love and prayers will continue to be with Mike, Jay, and their families.

Pat taught my children, and she and I had lots of fun with impromptu Parties She was an amazing women ,I'm truly blest to have had her as a friend.Dorothy Gregory Weems

Mrs. Blackburn was my favorite teacher and the only teacher that made a profound affect on my life. My heart is extremely sad right now. She used to call me every summer when I was a child and ask me how my summer was going. She cared so much. So many fond memories especially being told ""you're not done unless you're in the oven please use correct English when turning in work - you are finished Alicia!"" I still say this to people now. Awesome woman and an excellent teacher. RIP Mrs Blackburn.

I will never forget Mrs. Blackburn. She had a way of bringing out the best in everyone she met. I can't think about Travis Elementary without thinking of her.  She will be greatly missed.  My prayers and heartfelt condolences  go out to the family.

Pat was my teacher, my mentor, my friend. She saw my potential, took me from a very shy little girl and gave me confidence that I never would have had if not for her encouragement. I will be forever grateful for our lasting friendship. I thank God for allowing her to be a special chapter in my life and for the memories of a very special teacher & friend.
