

Paul Ardell Hinton was born on August 10, 1927, in Rosedale, Oklahoma, to Linnie and Labron Lincoln Hinton, and passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012. He was a Deacon and lifetime member of First Baptist Church, Baytown. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Seaman First Class in the U.S. Navy, and retired from ExxonMobil Corp. He was also a Past Master of the Baytown Masonic Lodge No. 1357, and a member of the Lions Club. He loved the U.S.A. and was a member of The American Legion, Baytown, Post 323. Paul was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the National Rifle Association and past member of the Baytown Youth Fair Association.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Lynne; parents, Linnie and Labron Hinton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Marie Clinton and Joe and Louise Hinton; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruby and Bill Dillenback. Paul is survived by daughter Melanie Pittman and husband David Pittman of Houston; and son Paul Lee Hinton and wife Chrissy of Baytown. There are five surviving grandchildren who have felt the influence of his honesty and integrity and loved the outdoor activities with him. They are Lisa Rainey and husband Mike of Georgetown, Christopher Pittman and wife Haley of Tomball, Andrew Hinton and wife Leslie of Franklinton, Louisiana, Stephanie Cline and husband Corey of Marshall, and Nathan Hinton of Baytown. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Addison and Jackson Rainey and Paul Benjamin Hinton. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews from Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Navarre Funeral Home. The funeral services will be Monday, August 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 505 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521 with Rev. Bill Yowell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Corey Cline, Andrew Ganucheau, Brandon Ganucheau, Stephen Ganucheau, Andrew Hinton, Nathan Hinton, Christopher Pittman, and Mike Rainey.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kim Bloom, Dr. Albert Raizner, Dr. Michael Campbell, and his caregivers who have taken care of him for the last year. They are Geraldine, Renee, Cynthia, Tammie, Maria, and Nikki.
