Phoebe Doris Goforth, 84, of Baytown, TX, passed away on February 24, 2013. She was born May 5, 1928 in Concord, NC to Thomas Victor Shaw and Maude Annie Hankins. In 1961, Phoebe moved to Pasadena, TX and then onto Baytown, TX in 1995. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Velice Grant Goforth, daughter, Melinda Wilson, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis Goforth and wife Lois of Baytown, Frederick Damon Goforth of Baytown, Victor Goforth and wife Debbie of Fredericksburg and daughter, Terry Short and husband Dale of LaPorte, sister, Frances Conyers of Charlotte, N.C., 10 grandkids and 25 great-grandkids.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel, 3919 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at10:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505 at 12:00 p.m.
