Raymond L. Hales of Dayton, Texas, age 78, was born September 1, 1944, in San Francisco, California to Lewis Hales and Margaret Studach Hales. He passed away December 28,2022 peacefully in his sleep at his daughters’ home in League City, Texas. Raymond grew up in Corvallis, Oregon where he attended school. He later met and then married Diana Lee Haynes in 1968 and moved to Houston, Texas in 1977. He was a hardworking, straight forward man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing whenever he had the chance and working on his different vehicles over the years. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his time there, even if just sitting enjoying a cup of coffee.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Margaret Hales and his wife Diana Hales. He is also preceded by his sister Janice and nephew Scott.
Raymond is survived by his three children, Jeff, Nathan and Karen, his seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings Lorene, Allen, Michael, Pamela, Walter, and Michelle along with many nieces and nephews. Raymond was known by many names, Raymond, Ray, Dad, Poppy, Grandpa, and Uncle Ray. He was loved and will be truly missed by his entire family.
