Rena Mae New King

Rena Mae New King, 82, of Baytown was born February 13, 1923 in Goose Creek, TX and passed away Thursday, July 14, 2005 in a Pasadena hospital. She was a volunteer at Bay Coast Hospital for many years and a member of the Baytown Senior Center. She served as Secretary/Treasurer for both groups and was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 18, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Amelia New and is survived by her husband Otis King of Baytown, with whom she would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary next month. She is also survived by her children and spouses, Ray and Ginger King, Dennis and Linda King, Iris King, and Floyd and Betty King, all of Baytown; sister, Mavis Hightower; brother, Carlton New; grandchildren and spouses, Carla and Paul Consimue, Daisy King, Tina and Jeff Apgar, Jessica and Ronnie Galloway, John and Adele King, Kayla King, Tina and Jeff Schamp, and Rebecca Miles; and great grandchildren, Kyle, Joshua, Charity, Christopher, Ryan, Matthew, Sabrina, Alexis, Lauren, Cody, Trapper, Ben, Shannon, Haley, Jimmy, Eric, and Ruby.
