

Richard Wayne Story, 31, of Dayton was born September 12, 1976 in Houston and passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008 in Galveston. He was a loving husband, proud father, son and brother who loved his entire family. He was proud to be an Aggie and a Mason and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and was a 1995 graduate of C. E. King High School and a 2000 graduate of Texas A & M University. He was also a member and past Master of the East Houston Masonic Lodge #1299 and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Llama Committee. He coached Little League Baseball in Dayton and was a Geotechnical Engineer with Halliburton.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett Olin Story Sr., Doyle Hudgins, Mary Wojcik and Willie Mae Smith. He is survived by his wife, LaShonna Story, son, Justus Story and daughter, Staesha Story, all of Dayton; parents, Emmett Jr. and Sheila Story and Cathy and Richard Kraus, all of Houston; brothers and sisters-in-law, Emmett III and Bobbie Story of Baytown and David and Beckie Dewvall of Channelview; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelly and Craig Oakley of Baytown, Krystal Kraus of Houston and Kelly and Jake Glenn of Baytown; grandparents, Mary Jane Story of Houston, Sonny Smith of Henderson and Raymond and Louise Kraus of Deer Park; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Kathy Holman of Highlands; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Crystal and Derrick Gaudet of Baytown, Lane Holman of Highlands and Brandon Dolgner of Houston; and numerous other family members and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Emmett Story III, David Story Jr., Ronnie Connor, David Dewvall, Derrick Gaudet, Joe Burns, Billy Nichols and Archie Guillory. Masons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
His family will receive friends at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 3811 N. Main, Baytown, TX 77521 Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble.
