

Richard Alva White, 60, of Fredericksburg, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 in Fredericksburg. He was born August 7, 1949 in Goose Creek and lived in the Baytown area for 40 years. He was the former owner of Hand Carved Candles and enjoyed wood carving, jewelry making, gardening and landscaping.
Mr. White was a very independent man that, even with his disabilities, was able to do anything he desired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R. R. White and Margaret Houghton White.
Survivors include his son, Richard White and his wife Robin of San Antonio; daughter, Kristen Campbell and her husband Alex of Vancouver, Washington; brother, Lyndal Moore of Cleveland; sisters, Phyllis Davis and her husband Bob of Brady and Sue Gottschalk and her husband Bill of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and very special niece and nephew, Leanna and Jeffery Davis of Brady.
A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and a graveside service will follow at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Cedarcrest Cemetery with Father William Laucker officiating.
