Robert Lewis ""Yank Lawrence Sr.

Robert Lewis “Yank” Lawrence Sr., 72, of Baytown, TX was born February 10, 1935 in Newton Falls, OH and passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his home. He was a former president of the Rockwell International Union and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Texas Turkeys bowling team. He was a mall walker and enjoyed his position as a salesman at Ott Motors. He had a wonderful green thumb and loved gardening and spending time with his wife, who suffered a stroke in October of 1996. Since then, he has done a wonderful job of taking care of her.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Lawrence and daughter, Robin Lynn Lawrence. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Christopher Lawrence of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry R. and Ann Lawrence of Baytown, Terry and Anna Lawrence of Middleburg, FL, and Robert L. Lawrence Jr. of Baytown; mother, Dorothy Lawrence of Newton Falls, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Roy Colburn of Vienna, OH; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald B. and Debbie Lawrence of Newton Falls, OH and Ronald R. and Elaine Lawrence of Ravenna, OH; and 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday, December 17, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Tewold officiating. Burial will be later in the week in the Hawley Cemetery in Newton Falls, OH.
